Tools4Inclusion is an international programme that helps young people build more inclusive and cohesive communities. We involve young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and young people from mainstream society to actively contribute to reducing social inequalities.
🎉 We had a really good meeting! Children living in roma settlements and children not living in roma settlements met in Gödöllő for our first inclusive session. 🎲 The games were well received by all participants and professionally led by the young facilitators – many of them were already moving almost routinely in this role, which had a positive impact on the whole team. Everyone had a role to play, and everyone felt free to participate together. The week before the meeting, the facilitators had the opportunity to practice twice in Bag and Dány, which helped a lot in their preparation. In total, 22 people played – facilitators and teachers included.
💬At the feedback round, everyone said they had fun and highlighted their favourite game. There were also spontaneous conversations and it was clear that participants were open and curious about each other. This session was all about getting to know each other and learning names, next time we will continue with the trust games.
The young facilitators reported that they had a lot of fun as game leaders and participants – they felt completely energized. 🫂We think it is very important that young people living on and off the roma settlements can meet and learn from each other – this is one of the programme’s greatest values.
We will continue ❤
